Is Liquid Vinyl Siding a new product?
No. This revolutionary coating was originally developed over forty years ago in Great Britain. Liquid Vinyl Siding&trade has been marketed and sold in the U.S.A. since 1986. It is a time tested coating with an extensive performance history.

Do other companies sell Liquid Vinyl?
Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is unique made from a proprietory formula consisting of virgin vinyl resins. No other coating is similar. Other companies may market a product they call 'liquid vinyl', however, it is just ordinary latex paint disguised by adding ceramic powder or other filler. Competitors try to mimic our coating by calling their paint Liquid Siding, Sprayon Siding or other simialr name. It is misleading becuase latex paint is made with poly‑VINYL‑acetate, a synthetic vinyl resin and after all, paint is LIQUID. Just because they call it liquid vinyl does not necessarily mean it contains any actual PVC vinyl resins. One can easily get confused.

Beware of companies selling copycat coatings. They rarely live up to the marketing hype and the companies selling these coatings don't stay in business very long. They will not show you a technical data sheet for the product for fear of exposing the coating for what it actually is - ordinary paint doctored with filler and rebranded.

Is Liquid Vinyl Siding expensive?
It may be less expensive than you think. Although it is slightly more costly than regular paint, it's significantly less expensive than vinyl siding and pays for itself over time with money that is saved. Pricing is based on various factors such as condition of the structure, permits that may be required and local labor cost. Your local dealer will provide a Free, No Obligation quote but will need to look at the house to determine actual cost.

Am I limited to just one color?
No! Like paint, you can use a combination of colors. The possibilities are endless with unlimited color choices.

What if I want to change the color later?
Although Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is intended to be a permanent coating solution, there are reasons why one might want to change the color, such as selling the home to a new owner that prefers a different color. Changing color is simple and can be done at a fraction of the cost of the original installation. Minimal surface preparation is needed and fresh vinyl can be applied with the new color. Liquid Vinyl can also be painted over with latex paint but this voids the warranty.

What surfaces can be coated?
Liquid Vinyl Siding™ can be applied over most type surfaces including wood, stucco, brick, concrete block, masonry, stone, Hardie‑Plank®, cement fiber board, OSB, T1-11, composite siding, aluminum siding, vinyl siding, galvanized steel panels and other type surfaces.

Will Liquid Vinyl insulate my home?
Liquid Vinyl Siding™ seals gaps and cracks in the siding to eliminate drafts and prevent energy loss. It reflects heat causing rays from the sun that helps reduce heat gain on hot days and conduction heat loss during cold weather. American Coating Products makes no claims as to the extent that the coating will insulate or the amount it can reduce energy bills. Insulation claims made by other coatings are for the most part unrealistic and cannot be verified. An exterior coating will not add enough insulation to significantly lower a power bill. The FTC has taken disciplinary action against companies making fictitious claims. The true value of Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is the many benefits it provides such as reducing maintenance cost, eliminating painting bills and providing a beautiful, long-lasting finish. ( top )

How do I clean Liquid Vinyl Siding?
Liquid Vinyl is easy to clean and maintain. Its anti-static nature stays remarkably cleaner than conventional paint and most of the time only requires rinsing with an ordinary garden hose. Cleaning solutions and household cleansers such as Spic & Span can safely be used on stubborn stains or it can be pressure cleaned.

But I have a brick house?
Liquid Vinyl Siding™ can be applied over brick. Most people prefer to keep their brick natural and use the vinyl coating on the wooden areas to make the whole exterior maintenance‑free. A brick home typically has a lot of wood areas that need to be painted such as facia boards, eves, trim around windows and doors, porch railing, etc.

Will Liquid Vinyl stop water leaks?
Liquid Vinyl Siding™ is a water proofing coating and effective at filling in porous surfaces but is not intended to correct a structural problem or construction flaws such as water seeping under a wall. Areas that allow unwanted water penetration should be corrected and properly sealed prior to applying Liquid Vinyl Siding™.

Does the old paint need to be removed before coating?
In most cases, No. Basic painting principals should be followed when applying Liquid Vinyl Siding™. Old layers of paint do not necessarily need to be removed if it is sound, but any flaking, loose and peeling layers need to be scraped or sanded until down to sound substrate before coating over.

How can I become a dealer?
We are always searching for reputable individuals and companies to represent our product in areas that do not have a dealer. Prior business or marketing experience is helpful but not necessary - we can provide training. Owning a LVS dealership can be rewarding and very lucrative, but like starting any business, it inituially takes time and hard work.
